Peony Asian Fusion — CBD

Peony Asian Fusion

It’s not often that I venture out to have BOTH lunch and dinner out at (different) restaurants, and find myself disappointed at both meals. This was the case on Friday 02/11/12. I find this slightly upsetting considering that I used to consider Peony Asian Fusion as a safe and reputable establishment that I could readily recommend to friends and family. Having been there several times myself, I wonder what has happened in the last few months since I was last there. Admitedley, the entire experience wasn’t all bad, but it just annoying that my meal wasn’t too flash. Brisbane Bites had lunch on this particular occasion.

Wara wara izakaya — Brisbane CBD

Wara Wara Izakaya — CBD

In a way, it is a little unfair to proclaim Wara Wara Izakaya as being the latest addition to the CBD’s Elizabeth St “Little Korea”. As the restaurant name suggests, it should in fact be a Japanese restaurant right?

Sushi on Roma — Brisbane CBD

Brisbane Bites Recommendation:

Sushi On Roma — Brisbane CBD

As Brisbane’s expansion as a modernizing city continues, so too does the explosion of sushi outlets around the traps. Sushi on Roma, in my opinion, is a standout example of this genre.

Sakura Runcorn — Runcorn

Brisbane Bites Recommendation:

Sakura– Runcorn

If you enjoy the taste of fresh, quality fish when your favourite roll hits your palate, then this is the place for you.

Hakataya — Sunnybank

Brisbane Bites Recommendation:

Hakataya — Sunnybank

On a Sunday afternoon, The Brisbane Bites team was lucky enough to catch a table at the famed Sunnybank Hakataya Noodle with only 10 minutes wait. Seating is quite limited here, with a mere 6 or 7 bar stools and about 4 tables.
