Every time I walk by War­ri­gal Square, I would smell some­thing sweet, like walk­ing by Cold Stone ice cream par­lour. I would just pass Pap­paroti by but not really look at what they served. One day I finally decided to see what that smell was all about; after all I do have a sweet tooth. As it turns out, Pap­paroti is just bread. Sweet bread!

I must admit I am very late in the roti bun rev­o­lu­tion, but bet­ter late than never.

The smell teases you from the park­ing lot and what I love about this place is that they never run out! Like a sweat­shop, they’re in mass pro­duc­tion. Always fresh, puffy and deli­ciously crisp on the outside.

Pap­paroti is a suc­cess­ful food chain which has flour­ished all over Asia with branches in Malaysia, Dubai, China, Viet­nam, Korea, Phillip­ines and since the 15th of June 2010; Aus­tralia. The sig­na­ture bun con­sists of crispy and fra­grant coffee-cream coated over light and fluffy dough with a hint of a but­tery filling.

Our thoughts

PapaRoti buns are an absolute taste of a mir­a­cle. It’s good and mouth-watering. These taste best right when they come out of the oven. I had them the morn­ing after and even after heat­ing them up a bit in the microwave, they lost that soft, airy texture.
