Peak hour traf­fic is a killer. It’s tir­ing and frus­trat­ing to say the least. How­ever, being the opti­mist that I am, I some­times like to think of the stand­still traf­fic as an oppor­tu­nity to be aware and notice one’s sur­round­ings. You never know, you might find a hid­den gem!

One morn­ing as I plod­ded along Indooroopilly’s peak-hour Mog­gill road, I noticed the bright new orange sig­nage for the recently opened “Mr Burger & Fish”: a fish, chips and take-away joint with a twist!

Here at Bris­bane Bites, we needn’t nec­es­sar­ily an excuse to go out for break­fast! So, this week­end, the team headed to Six Degrees cafe in the sub­urb if Indooroop­illy (about 6km west if the Bris­bane CBD).

Hav­ing grown up in the area, I per­son­ally con­sider Six Degrees to be a bit of a gem — those of us who are West-siders would most likely agree that the diver­sity and choice to food in our neck of the woods is some­times lacking.
